Professional Development

The Office for Equity and Diversity provides a variety of professional development offerings on diversity and inclusion for the ECU community, including ad hoc and open-session educational offerings and programming. Open sessions are announced through email and on our website and you may request a training for your department below.

Face to Face Offerings

Educational programming delivered in an online format is available at a time and place convenient to the learner and is self-paced.

NCFDD

With our institutional membership, all faculty, postdocs, and graduate students at ECU have access to NCFDD, which is a national faculty development center dedicated to supporting academics in making successful transitions throughout their careers.

Education and Professional Development Request Form

In addition to our open-session offerings, we can develop an educational or professional development program specific to goals of the ECU community that request training. Please fill out the OED Education and Professional Development Request Form to request a training, consultation, or classroom presentation. An Office for Equity and Diversity representative will be in contact with you. Lending Library

Books and videos in our Lending Library highlight a range of topics including social psychology, racial, cultural, leadership, workplace and historical diversity.

Located in Old Cafeteria Complex, suite G-406 and is accessible from 8:30 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. If you want to check out materials or check on material availability, contact the office by email or phone.

ECU faculty and staff may borrow up to two items for a period of two weeks and accept responsibility for all materials. If you need additional time, please contact the office. An overdue notice will be sent after three weeks.
