Concerns & Complaints

East Carolina University has systems in place to receive and review concerns of discrimination and harassment, as well as concerns of retaliation for filing a report or participating in these processes. The Office for Equity and Diversity (OED) handles concerns regarding the protected classes of disability, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, age, sex, gender identity, color, veteran status, genetic information, political affiliation, national origin, and religion. OED also handles reports of sexual assault, sexual harassment, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking.

If you feel that you have been harassed or discriminated against based on one of the University’s protected classes, subjected to sexual harassment, or retaliated against related to a reported protected class concern, you may fill out the reporting form below. You may also email us at oed@ecu.edu, call us at 252-328-6804, or visit us at Suite G406 in the Old Cafeteria Building to discuss your concern. Our online reporting form, voice messaging system, and email is available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week.

Once you submit the form below, a member of OED will contact you to discuss the options and resources available through the University. Please note that if you submit this form anonymously, it may limit the University’s ability address your concern.
