Laura is the current Director of the Irene Howell Assistive Technology [IHAT] Center. The IHAT Center teaches undergraduate and graduate Pirates about serving students/individuals with disabilities, assistive technologies, accessibility, and universal design for learning. Laura’s current research interests are focused on universal design for learning and action research for assistive technology assessments. She has been published in Teacher Education and Special Education, Journal of Special Education Technology, Rural Special Education Quarterly, International Journal of Learning, Exceptionality Education International, and has numerous presentations in these areas.
